  1. From the “MacTOPS” window, you can change your station name and enable Personal Access.

  3. Your station name identifies your Macintosh station to other stations on the network. To change your station name:

  5. 1.   Choose the “Set Station Preferences…” option from the “MacTOPS” menu.
  6.  
  7. 2.   Type a name up to 31 characters long in the “Name:” text box.
  8.  
  9. 3.   Click on the “OK” button.
  10.  
  11. You may change your station name at any time, except when your station has published volumes.

  14. Personal Access allows you to access all the disks, folders and files on your station from any other station on the network. To enable this option:

  16. 1.   Choose the “Set Station Preferences…” option from the “MacTOPS” menu.

  18. 2.   Click in the “Enable Personal Access” check box.
  19.  
  20. 3.   Type a password up to 31 characters long in the “Password:” text box. (You will use this password when you request access to your station from another station on the network.)

  22. 4.   Click on the “OK” button.
